In Ranchi, a significant healthcare initiative by Sri Guru Singh Sabha and Guru Nanak Secondary School led to the establishment of Guru Nanak Hospital. A committee under S. Kuldip Singh and S. Harjit Singh Sahni inaugurated the first phase on January 10, 1998, with 10 beds and essential services.
Responding to community needs, a new committee, led by S. Gurdip Singh Saluja and S. Charanjit Singh Wasu, aimed to expand the hospital to 100 beds by April 2001, with Dr. S. Bakshi as medical advisor. Their broader vision includes transforming the hospital into a 400-bed Medical College and Research Centre within five years.
Ranchi's favorable climate and connectivity enhance the hospital's accessibility. The committee seeks community support to realize this vision of providing quality healthcare and fostering medical education in the region.
